Grief
One of the most grounding experiences from losing a loved one is realizing that people only stop for a few moments (if ever) to share in your loss. But they soon move on just as fast, and are back to their lives, happy and laughing.
With grief, you hoped that the world and people would pause long enough to acknowledge the vacuum loss has left.
You soon learn that grief is only pertinent to the bereaved.
